The discography of American rock band Tool consists of five studio albums, one compilation album, two extended plays, four video albums, fifteen singles and eight music videos. Tool was founded in 1990 by vocalist Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Adam Jones, who then recruited drummer Danny Carey and bassist Paul D'Amour. They initially released a demo EP in 1991 called 72826. Although demos are typically intended only for record labels, the band was so pleased with theirs that they sold copies to. The fourth and until August 30th, 2019 most recent Tool album is a catch-all affair full of strange jams, further artistic experimentation and a is an American rock band from Los Angeles. Formed in 1990, the group's line-up includes drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and vocalist Maynard James Keenan. Justin Chancellor has been the band's bassist since 1995, replacing their original bassist Paul D'Amour. Tool has won four Grammy Awards, performed worldwide tours, and produced albums topping the charts in several countries. I love each album Tool has put out, but artistic and creativity-wise, Lateralus is the best. The single fact that one track the title track featured clues hidden in the structure of itself that led to a complete re-organizing of the album's track list makes it the best. Not only is Lateralus beautiful start to finish by itself, but if re-ordered to fit the Holy Gift way, each song leads into the next with perfect symmetry, perfect timing, and perfect harmony. I love '10,000 Days' as well, but it's very difficult to beat this album. My Top 5 Favorite Tool Albums: 5:Opiate 4:Undertow 3:AEnima 2:Lateralus 1:10,000 Days. This is album is very broad and ridiculously complex. Tool fans are a notoriously patient lot, if not by nature, by necessity. After all, the tenebrous progressive metal maestros arent exactly what youd call prolific, with the band engaging in prolonged periods of dormancy between their complex, layered studio albums. However, that patience is now paying off again after 13 years with the arrival of Tools fifth full-length release in 26 years, Fear Inoculum. Frequency withstanding, Tools output has remained consistent: innovative, heady, crushing noise thats almost always best experienced through decent headphones. We rank Tool's five studio albums, one EP and one live album. Note: the argument can be made usually by me, to everyone that Tool has yet to make a bad album, so the following is a ranking of their least perfect to most perfect albums. Every Tool Album Ranked From Worst to Best. After the 13-year wait, see where 'Fear Inoculum' lands on our list. By Nick Youssef. Sep 13, 2019. The first time I heard Tool I knew something was different. Most songs on my local radio station Im 900 years old were short, had definitive verses and hooks and didnt make me question my spiritual place in the universe. Official Store. Exclusive Products. Tool Army. some of it reminiscent to earlier Tool stuff, with other parts pushing the envelope, and I assume that it will sound even more like Tool once the vocal melodies, etc. have been added. The entry ended with speculation that the group was more than halfway done with the record. 2013: Scooter accidents derail the album. Progress hit a brick wall in 2013 when two Tool members sustained injuries in two different collisions. The New Year started off on a bad note as far as writing and arranging sessions for Tools next record, the bands website reported via Fuse. Because of the physic. 4,456 listeners. 2001 8 tracks
