Meet him as "That Kid Chris", "T.K.C Overload", "Kaos Theory" or "Be Fly": all aliases of the man called "Chris Staropoli", one of the most prolific djs and producers of the US - and not only - house scene back in 90s. His releases on the most successful labels of that age, such as "Groovilicious", "Jus' Trax", "Digital Dungeon", "Strictly Rhythm" or "Henry Street" leave no space for a light criticism and no other reaction than admiration.
His preference and love for the native sounds, tribal beats and pure house madness is obvious in most of his releases. "Livin In The Jungle" on Strictly catalogue is one of them. "Samba Mix" of first side is really hearty, close to ten minutes. The jungle effects and full-fat beat is a trademark of "That Kid Chris". Spiritual vocals by indigenous tribes - possibly African or Amazonian - together with the liquid synths driving on the beat result in a superb tribal-house anthem. Side B' inserts more hard-house elements and some trance accords for the fans of the style. Both "N.Y.C Aggressive Style" and "Dub Mix" are also good enough.
