Composer, pianist, and bandleader Marty Gold was born in NYC the day after Xmas, 1915. He died in 2011 at age 95. Gold's most famous song is Tell Me Why, a 1951 pop hit for the Four Aces and Eddie Fisher. In 1964, Bobby Vinton revived Tell Me Why, also charting with it. In early career, Gold co-founded, wrote songs, arranged and played piano in the Korn Kobblers, who were known as America's most.
