Album

Vive La Trance is the seventh studio album released by the German Krautrock band Amon Düül II, which was released in 1973. Produced by Olaf Kübler and Amon Düül II and engineered by Peter Kramper, Vive La Trance was recorded and remixed at Bavaria Studios with additional remixing done at Union Studio München. The album sleeve's photography was done by Falk U. Rogner and Gena Zimmerman, with additional design and artwork by Jürgen Rogner. The song Mozambique is dedicated to the political. Amon Düül II. Soul Jazz Records Presents DEUTSCHE ELEKTRONISCHE MUSIK: Experimental German Rock. Amon Düül ll's extraordinary 1973 album finds the influential German art rock band working surprisingly well in a short song format while still stamping the music with their unique sound. Fly United, Trap, and Ladies Mimikry show diverse styles of pop and rock running happily into each other with memorably quirky results. The instrumentation here is as quirky as ever, too - perhaps even more so than usual, with Chris Karrer's violin and sax playing now in the fore. The melodies are often shimmering. I have had a decent amount of their records and sold most of them through the years, maybe it was a mistake. This release and Yeti are the ones that I come back to regularly.
